Nars Nars Nars

Today was the first day I actually played with Nars Cosmetics and guess what I loved it! I wasnt expecting to as much as I did but it's amazing. The class gave me tips and pointers on getting a even better turn out in pictures than I have. Also Nars did the Marc Jacob show for his SS 2011 collection which was 70's inspired.

I ended up buying a shadow (Night Porter) $23 and as a gift got a mini version of one of there new products (Orgasm Illuminator) which is great as a high lighter.

Here is the song to the video I just did Makeup on "Playin' With Bands" - Da Gutta Boy

On the set of the Gutta Boy video set "Playin with Bands"

Today was one of my first video shoots which was very fun for me. Here is some behind the scene pictures from the set.

I finally was able to get some new products!

So today after my shoot I decided to treat myself to some new products. I first went to Sephora in the water tower and of course looked at illamasqua and then to clinque. I was just going to get whatever then I was like "Wonder Woman" lol so I ran to Mac lol.

At Mac I Fell in Love as always. Its so hard for me to restrain myself when I'm in any Mac store lol. So to entice me even more right at the door is "Wonder Woman Collection".
I ended up spending $72 which is good for me at any makeup store. I got 3 "Wonder Woman" Items and 1 pigment. (Heroine Lipstick) which is a beautiful frost copper, (Army of Amazons Mascara) which is this awesome Green, (Themyscira Mascara) which is this a beautiful dark blue and finally (Magenta Madness) which is this jaw dropping pink pigment. The first picture shows the outer most boxes from the 3 item that are from the "Wonder Woman" collection. If I must say so myself the packaging is divine and I love it so much I'm thinking about keeping it. Then you have the 2nd picture where there is the inner packaging; followed by the product packaging which is also amazing. Rating packaging on a scale of 1-5 I will give it a 5 good job Mac the next test will be how it is on which of course I will definitely let you guys know.

Here are some of the makeup looks i like now!

One of my favorite Makeup artist: Stephane Marais (interview magazine)

Stephane Marais

Photography Stephane Marais

When Stéphane Marais looks for beauty inspiration, he goes to the movies. "It's a huge source for me," the 48-year-old makeup maestro says. "Fritz Lang movies, old black-and-white films with smoky eyes, then Cabaret [1972] eyes . . . I could even jump to Blade Runner [1982]." Marais has been transforming pretty girls into hot glamour icons since he got into the makeup game in the '80s. (His work with Linda Evangelista is legendary. "We were all so young then," he says, "and we had nothing to lose, so we just went for it. There was a freedom at that time-less pressure and more enthusiasm.") The reason Marais likes film so much is that his aim with every face is to create a character. "Seductive women, intriguing women, disturbing women-it's all about a character, and I don't really know who she will be until I see her face. That's why the model is such an important part for me." For a man who works with his own makeup recipes, including everything from sequins to gold powder, the aesthetic is actually quite straightforward-fantastical in a very bold, clean execution. Here, we present four iconic female characters that Marais has created specifically for Interview: a gothic warrior, whose black forehead suggests dark romanticism; a gold Cocteau-esque punk; a ghostly hypnotic apparition with Fritz Lang black eyes and delicate porcelain skin; and the grand Berlin decadent-with crushed lipstick around the eyes and pursed lips-who's living, partying, and drinking underground in a society gone mad. Sounds like the cast for a great post-apocalyptic fashion epic.
